Oiy. I know they mean well, and I tend to get their Buddhist wisdoms, but their Buddhist meal prayer for today is not-so-much with the Buddhism, but nicely Christian generic.

That's very true -- I think there are suprisingly many similarities between Buddhism and Christianity -- the book by Thich Nhat Hanh called "Jesus and Buddha as Brothers" does a lovely job of finding common ground of the two religions.
